Holi Hai! with Creo Vivo | World’s most colorful festival!

Hey guys! It is holi time and I thought of producing a really colourful video on Holi. Those who don’t know about holi, it is Holi with an I, not Y.

Holi is a festival of colors, celebrated across India and other parts of the world. The reason that this Indian festival is so popular even in parts of Europe, North America, Canada, Australia, is because Holi symbolizes love, forgiveness, unity, and joy. It is also one of the most mischievous of festivals because this is the time of the year when you can throw colour powders and coloured water on anyone including your family, friends, friends of friends, relatives, literally everyone. And in case one gets offended, then you say “Don’t get offended, it is holi!”

Holi usually falls either in the end of February or in March. So, Holi also embarks the beginning of pleasant Spring. The onset of Spring brings with it lots of hope and respite from cold dark winter. Fields get filled with crops promising a good harvest to the farmers and flowers bloom colouring the surroundings and filling fragrance in the air.

Traditionally, on the eve of Holi, a huge bonfire is organized in streets by some people.  And it is called Holika Dahan. Stalks and grams from the fresh harvest are offered to the fire god with all humility.

There exist mythological stories behind this tradition. One of them being that lord Krishna coloured the face of his beloved Radha on this day.

Children and adults all are equally very excitedly about Holi. They start preparations early in the morning by filling coloured water in balloons and pichkaris. Using natural colours is always preferable over chemical ones. It is a holiday for most. So, people prepare lots of sweets and snacks on the day to share them with friends and relatives. People move around in gangs with colours in their hands. They colour each other’s faces and then hug each other lovingly.

Wish you all a very happy and safe holi.
